Buffalo Gateway Show Chorus Leaders

Our Chorus thrives because of the energy and style of the people who have stepped up to lead. Here are a few of the people that make our ensemble tick:

Diane Porsch - Director

Diane Porsch, Director of the Buffalo Gateway Show Chorus since the fall of 2001, is a life-long musician.  She joined Sweet Adelines in 1974, got hooked on barbershop music, and never left. In fact, she is such an avid and accomplished barbershopper it's how she makes her living!   She spends most of her time focused on barbershop harmony as a Chorus Director, Coach, and Music Seminar Facilitator.

Susan Waters - Management Team Leader 

Susan Waters has been  a Sweet Adeline for 27 years, a member of Buffalo Gateway Chorus for 23 years.  She has been a member of the Management Team for 5 years and Team Leader for 3 years.  She was also an active quartet member singing tenor with "INTRIGUE" and "BUFFALO BEAT".

In her other life she is a music teacher at Grand Island Middle School and High School and "Mom" to Christine (27) and Brent (23).

Pam Calveric - Assistant Director and Choreographer 

Pam shares her talents as choreographer, Assistant Director, Section Leader, Management Team Member, Visual Performance Coordinator and is a Certified Director in the Sweet Adelines International Organization. In addition, she is currently a highly-pursued member of the Sweet Adelines International Faculty, so coaching and teaching continue to fill her time.

 Sharon Wolff - Assistant Director 

Sharon serves  the chorus and organization in many capacities, including Certified Assistant Director, Bass Section Leader Specialist, Co-Chair of Scenery, and the "New Member" branch of membership.  She has been instrumental in development of all our Membership programs, and remains as an advisor to all branches, including our newest Alumni program. She has been quarteting since she first joined Sweet Adelines, with Opus Four, Vocal Motion, Indeed, and Sitcom.  She says that it is an honor to be able to stand out "in front" and direct this terrific chorus, which gives her so much support in her learning endeavors.

Caren Chaffee - Assistant Choreographer 

Caren has been singing and dancing since her feet hit the ground.  She joined the Buffalo Gateway Show Chorus in 2000.  She likes to stay involved in may aspects of the chorus, and is a Bass Section Leader.  Caren sings bass with Serendipity quartet and she became the asst. Choreographer several years ago to help keep the chorus "moving and shaking".  In addition to her active schedule with Buffalo Gateway.
